PACE is a 4-step mental checklist that turns any CASPer scenario — ethical, interpersonal, professional — into a structured, scorable response. Simple enough to memorize in an hour. Deep enough to carry you through every question on the test.

Why PACE works

Clarity beats brilliance on every standardized test, and CASPer is no exception. Raters give points for visible judgment, not hidden judgment. PACE makes your judgment visible.

It also does something quieter, and arguably more important: it stops the panic spiral. When your mind goes blank halfway through a scenario, you don't need inspiration — you need a script. PACE is the script.

Memorizing PACE is the easy part. Applying it under pressure, on scenarios you've never seen before, is the hard part.

That's the actual skill CASPer is testing — fast pattern-matching across novel situations. You can't get there by reading. You only get there by doing scenarios. Lots of them. With feedback. Until PACE becomes muscle memory.
